Web Design - Figma Migration
While FIGMA has become an industry standard many older projects and workflows did not have the time or budget to catch up with the times, and were still leveraging older photoshop workflows which were very timely to update.
The problem was that there were 2 PSDs for each page Mobile and Desktop, which meant each page had to update individually and given the tight timelines the creative teams were running into issue maintaining fidelity across the files whilst also meeting the deadlines.
My team and I were brought in as support and we petitioned that we could rebuild the full website in Figma, and in the long term actually save time with future updates. After much debate we were given the green light and my team and I worked together to build out the pages. Our primary focus would be to build responsively and leveraging components heavily to speed up building and future edits.

One of the biggest challenges of the older workflow was maintaining updated Safety information across all pieces, as Safety information frequently changed as the projects moves along and all of it has to to much and be 100% accurate as there are significant potential repercussions if information is not accurate. The previous process involved marking up page after page with the same updates, and require medal legal team to review the same thing over and over, burning time and resourcing.
To remedy this issue and save time, I built out several components that the entire cross functional team could leverage. Medical Legal team would only have to mark up the component once, and have confidence that the changes would be reflective across all pages significant reducing stress and resourcing on their part. Introducing this tiny workflow shift greatly improved effiency across the entire process, easing the burden and timing of edits.

This exercise of PSD migration, cascaded into a era of migration projects, rebuilding full workflows from Sketch/Photoshop into Figma, with the production team being able to boast faster build, edit and turn around times whilst also mainting high quality of files.
